I personally like Euripides and Jackie Jr. But if it is a big deal you can always go with the names that work for both genders ie) Sam, Pat, Dale, Tracy, Kelly, Nicky(no offense younger cousin), Squirt, Runt, and my personal favorite cousin Eddie. I think everyone should have a cousin Eddie. Eddie works both ways if you name your daughter Edwinea. If youu need any further help just let me know.

Don't forget about the middle name potential. Neither Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Francis Ford Coppola, F. Scott Fitzgerald, or Francis Scott Key would have amounted to much were it not for their middle names. Laura and I chose James as a middle name for Marcus because it's my middle name and Dad's first name. Then I wanted to give him the first name Jesse but everybody said you can't name him after the outlaw Jesse James (I would have called him J.J for short). Well why not, Yaya's Dad was named Frank James. He was just as much an outlaw as Jesse. |

Jackie did not like my first pick, The super male name of Sextillion B. Testaclease. I thought with a name like that he will most likely go to Ball State or Ball U and major in Male studies. I think it is a good strong roman name. |

If I may comment. I think I have a solution that will acomodate everyone. There is a name that will combine Mark's desire for something hyper masculine, Mike's desire for a middle name synonomus with an outlaw and Matt's recomendation of a unisex name. The answer is in nameing your chld "Kieser von Wihlem Palumbo" For those of you who may not know Kieser von Wihlem was only the most evil German to ever have lived. Now don't get me wrong I have nothing against Germans, hell I wouldn't throw a World War without them. Consider First the name Kieser, it's tough and equivalent to nameing your child Zar, Pharo, or Dictator but these are not proper names. With a name like Kieser you can't go wrong. Second Mike's desire for a middle name that creates an outlawish image is taken care of by von Whilem or simply "Von" for short. Third, and suprisingly, it is a completly unisex name so Matt's concerns are met. If you follow this suggestion everyone ('cept your child) will be happy. In closing, love your child enough to name them Keiser von Whilem Palumbo and they will be able to write thier own ticket because they will grow up tough and repsected. I have preforemd much research on this topic and any other name meeting all three foregoing critera results in the child growing up to be a stripper or an underware quality control worker. The data is irrefutable. So please love your child enough to name them Kieser von Whilem Palumbo. With Much Philosofism Nick |

I like the logic, but there is no way my kids middle name will be Von. Let me explain. I have a friend with the name Benno von Shwartner (German). He comes over for dinner and has been seen in public with my wife and me often. If my kids name were German or have the name von in it people will start to talk about the couple with the German kid and their German friend. Then I will be forced to kill the talking people and to not show weakness, I will have to kill Benno. I really do not want to do that. Most of the time I send Benno to do my killing for me. Trust me he knows how to opress people he is German. |

How about cleatus, Einus, Rosco, or Cooter, in honor of the new Dukes of Hazzard movie coming out? We all grew up on that show, someone should pay tribute to it.

Jeff,, there is no reason to think Mark & Jackie's baby will in any way resemble your baby picture. While we are all cousins Jackie's geans should throw off the mutation effect.

Maybe Goldenpalace.com will pay us for the right to name our baby. We could also sell the advertizing rights on Jackie's pregenat belly (as long as it is just henna and not a real tatoo). Just think we could come up with games to gamble on the sex, weight, hight. I got it you should all send me $10.00 and state the sex (Male or Female no other options) if your right I'll send you $5.00 and a happy face sticker. Any left over funds will go to sexillion's college fund. We can also send another $10.00 and pick the wieght or hight. I'll be at the mail box. |

Please watch out for those non-gender names that could go either way. The child may grow up to go either way if you give him/her a name that goes both ways. Why take that chance. Select a name with a stong gender identity that way the child will identify with the name and never be confused! (Does that stuff run in any of the family line?) |

Thats is why I like Sextillion B. Testacles. Strong Male name and Buffy strong slayer type female name. Perfect it has been decided. Stay with strong names and feed the baby GHB the clear and the cream in the baby food. some protien shakes for desert. Weight on the arms and legs for atleast the first five years so when we cut them off (the weights) the kid will have strong fast reactions. Thank you all for your input I could not have done it with out you. you shoud be proud you came up with these names and this training. |

Let's go back just a moment to Mother Palumbo's last comment. Who, pray tell, would ever answer her last question, given the obvious opinion about it stated in the rest of the message? Not that there's anything wrong with that (Seinfeld reference).

Jackie--anytime Marc, me, and minimum 6 other robots, those crazy robotics kids always wanna go on trips I'm against the any-gender names. It's confusing especially when you get a list with the kid's name on it, and you thought it was a boy, but oh my, it's a girl...oops |

What a surprise . . . another boy! Now that we definitely know the gender we can begin giving names some serious thought. My first suggestion would be Miracle Max Palumbo but since Dina already has a dog named Max that's probably a bad idea. That leaves Westley Palumbo or Inigo Montoya Palumbo. If neither of these work for you I'll come up with a few others. |

I can't say I am surprised at the outcome of the ultrasound, although I was praying for a change. But why wreck the streak. Boys are great, right Di??????? As far as the name thing goes, you guys are sick. How about something historical like Guido Palumbo. Remember we named one of the Thanksgiving turkey's Guido (hence the historical comment). Of course it really is a hysterical name but who cares. Has a nice ring with the O's at the end. Love you all Helen |

Hi All, Just wanted to give you another baby update. Baby Boy Palumbo is growing fast. On average - He is almost 2 lbs and about 13 inches long. I am finishing up my 26th week...and the last trimester is approaching quickly. Mark and I have quite an active baby. He is constantly moving around and kicking me. Sometimes, my whole belly moves! It is very strange, but completely amazing to experience a little one growing and moving inside you. Somehow he always knows when I am in a meeting or in the car...that is when he tends to kick my bladder. He also recognizes his Daddy's voice and seems to get all excited...it is so cute! Love you all!

Hi All, I thought I would give another baby update to everyone. I officially have 7 weeks and about 4 days to go. Baby Palumbo is still very active. He entertains those around us...I think he is going to be just like Mark! He even kicked the doppler as the nurse was trying to take his heart rate (for those of you that don't know what a doppler is, it is a "wand" looking thing that takes the heart rate). He also kicked his Daddy in the face the other day. According to our weekly updates, (on average) he is about 4 lbs. now and 15 inches long. And apparently if he is going to be born with a full head of hair, he already has it. If there is any truth to the old wives tale about heartburn - then he is going to have a lot of hair. We have another ultrasound on 9/15 - so we can't wait until then. Hopefully this little guy will "assume position" by then. Talk to you later. Love you all! |

Glad to hear things are going well. Sounds as if you have a real boy there. Of course, I also feel pangs of sympathy for you since I can recall my pregancy with Matt was very similar. Never was still!!! He came out moving and never stopped. It was alot of work, but I am sure you guys are up to it. Nark was not much better so I guess it is fair play he should get one that doesn't sit still either. Anyway, enjoy, glad things are going well. Both of you must be getting excited. It is a great time. Any finalized names???? Love you all Helen |

Baby update: We had an ultrasound on Thursday. The baby is still in breech position (traverse breech to be exact). If you are not sure what that means...picture a baby cradled in your arms - that is how he is in my belly. He still has time to flip so we have another ultrasound on 10/6. We also found out that the little sweater Mark wore home from the hospital will most likely not fit our baby. He is pretty big which is totally freaking me out, as the other moms can probably imagine. He might acutally surpass my birth weight of 8 lbs! Now I know why everyone keeps saying..."you look like your due any day now!" Soon, I am not going to be so nice with my responses! Hopefully all will work out well so I don't have to go through a c-section. Say a few prayers for us. Love you! |

Baby update: This will probably be the last update...then we will make the big announcement ! Yesterday we had another ultrasound (37 weeks). He is still breech, now frank breech (butt down, feet up by his face). Apparently this is the most trying breech position particularly since his butt has "dropped". He is weighing in at approximately 6 lbs. 15 oz. (any bets on size?) So, I am scheduled for a c-section on October 25th at 1:00 pm (unless he decides to come earlier). I could have gone as early as the 21st, but we wanted to make sure that the delivery was with my regular doctor. The whole procedure should only take about 30 mins and I will be in recovery for 2 hours, hospital for 4 days, and pretty much recovering at home for a solid 2 weeks. That pretty much sums things up. Not exactly the way Mark and I planned things, but what are you going to do besides pray and be healthy?...We have a stubborn child...imagine that with me and Mark as the parents! Keep us in your prayers. Love you all! Jackie |
